NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that the allies must continue to support Ukraine in the war unleashed by the Russian Federation.
He made the corresponding statement in an interview with ARD, which was quoted by DW , reports European Pravda.
Stoltenberg stressed that further support for Ukraine is in the interests of NATO itself.
“You need to understand that if President Putin wins, a tragedy awaits Ukraine. But it will also be dangerous for us. Therefore, it is in our own interests that Ukraine survives,” noted the NATO Secretary General.
He also added that one must “be prepared for bad news” and not refuse assistance to Ukraine.
“We must also be prepared for bad news. The course of wars is not a constant, but a variable process. We must support Ukraine in both good and bad times. The current war is a war of attrition, a battle for efficiency, a battle for logistics.” , Stoltenberg explained.
Earlier, Stoltenberg expressed confidence that the allies will continue to provide significant amounts of military assistance to Ukraine.
Also, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba assured that NATO countries are not showing any signs of fatigue from the Russian war against Ukraine.
